Chase Bank TV ads!

Just perusing the Grammy show (yawn), and at about 9pm east coast time, sure enough -- a brand spanking new commercial for Chase Online Banking, complete with Billpay. Nice screen shots, and all, and they claim the service is free (which is at odds with what we all posted here a month or so ago). All-in-all, nice exposure to a broad audience of the convenience of on-line banking.

>>>That list is just too big for a drop down menu. :-)

Yea...But...You found your Pappas Bank in there. Kinda nice to know that as he goes into retirement, selecting the convience of on line banking/billing. Everytime he pushes that pay button your family is enriched, or me when I push for that matter...but that's what we're investing in isn't it? It will change. This internet thing is just too handy.

After all how long did you wait for an answer to your questions? It, this internet is powerful...because we can all work together.

Greenspan has got everybody all worked up on a tight labor market, Intel announces that they believe e-commerce will topple 1 Trillion Dollars by 2002. Now think..think hard?

I come to this...If Intel is right...and I believe they are, and the FED too in this current tight labor situation. But I'm beyond all that, that's now, I'm out 2 years in my thinking...a lot of folks are going to get displaced in this economy by e-commerce...ie their 'clerk' type retail jobs will disapear in the advent of a massive shift to e-this and that. Lack of Laborors are not going to be the problem...the problem is going to be un-employement as e-comm hits its stride pushing prices downward as a more cost effective distribtion system and folks who were part of the paper distribution system are going to be looking for work as a result of this shift.

E-Commerce is like a tractor in the field vs 10 men and a horse...it will be..and technology compresses time...IMO. The current considerations are not of a concern to me....as they are based on history..and not the future paridigm shift. Any down turn in the economy between now and then will accelerate the shift, as large corporations strive to cut the cost of doing business through electronic distribution methods. Best to stay the course is to continue to drop real interest rates and hope these folks find a job.

The internet is a pivot point in time, like the industrial revolution, the steam engine, the book, the printing press etal. This is big stuff maynard, BIG STUFF.
