As someone else mentioned, by extending trading hours they will reduce the load on average. Of course, if this only attracts more customers then maybe it'll be a wash. But I think it should reduce congestion during the normal open/close times. The only question is whether there will be enough liquidity during the outside hours. Since they did say that trading will be limited to certain stocks, they would probably start with the most liquid ones first. ...tai
