Take it even further......after a number of companies checked with their contacts they did not find a basis for the article. This article happened when there is extraordinary focus on China; cdmaOne people are very aware of what is going on. Most state there is evidence to the contrary. (See earlier post)

You are right about the GSM systems in China. Those issues and the extreme cost of converting to WCDMA will allow the cdmaOne/CDMA2000 camp to be successful in the long run.
