George- I think the idea that Dell's SAN's strategy would target the mid range came from a recent article in IBD where a Dell marketing director Kevin Reinas said . >>>''Our goal is not to compete head to head with EMC in the high end,'' Dell's Reinis said. ''They've been in that market space a lot longer.'' <<< I don't think Dell was saying they weren't going to compete in the high end over the long term. The article seemed to imply they were going to target a very specific market which seemed to be mid range storage networks.
