CB, Thank you. I believe you are fairly accurate with your numbers. I haven't checked with any official sources, but I now do recall a discussion I had with my brother about this. He had mentioned it as a way to make money---buy older home, fix it up, sell it for a profit without paying capital gains tax. Good luck with finding a nice new home with some property. I'd just as soon be in the middle of nowhere with not many others around. I'm not sure there's such a thing in South Jersey that would be convenient to work. LOL. mike
