High-Speed ISP Connectivity, Web Site
for Mid-South Electric Cooperative
Customers

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 1999--

www.mscc.net Delivers E-Commerce, Information and Service to

Mid-South Customers

uniView Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq:UVEW) has launched a
dynamic web presence and rural ISP connectivity for Mid-South
Electric Cooperative to provide interactive and e-commerce services
to the Navasota, Texas-based cooperative's more than 17,000
regional customers.

Under the annuity income joint venture, Mid-South expands its
customer services by delivering high-speed, reliable Internet access
via the uniView Xpressway(TM) via a home PC or television. uniView
is teaming with Mid-South to market the easy-to-use uniView set top
box - which also has e-mail, fax and speakerphone capabilities with
an organizer and parental control features.

Upon sign-in, a new Mid-South web site (www.mscc.net), developed
by uniView, welcomes customers and provides a direct link to
customer service information, e-commerce, helpful Internet surfing
tips, and the World Wide Web. Users also can securely, quickly and
easily purchase various Mid-South products and services, including
uniView's set top box, directly from the web site.

"In developing this custom solution for Mid-South, our Advanced
Systems Group has set a new standard of innovation and reliable
Internet service for the utility industry," said Patrick A. Custer,
president and CEO of uniView Technologies. "This project is an
example of recent agreements we have secured that generate
recurring ISP revenue and earnings from web site design and
hosting, as well as set-top box sales and services."

To establish Mid-South as an Internet Service Provider (ISP), uniView
built a special hub in Huntsville, Texas, to ensure quick and seamless
local access to the uniView Xpressway(TM). Under the agreement,
uniView also will provide ongoing technical support and marketing
support for the ISP service and interactive web site. Customers will
receive various promotional materials such as a complimentary
sign-on disk.

"With increasing utility competition and a great customer demand
for interactivity in rural areas, we needed a unique solution to
remain competitive," said Kenneth Camp, general manager of
Mid-South Electric Cooperative. "Thanks to uniView's expertise and
flexibility and our joint marketing efforts, we expect the hub to be at
full capacity very quickly. We will continue to work with uniView to
expand the hub and enhance these value-added services."

Mid-South Electric Cooperative is a locally owned, non-profit, rural
electric cooperative organized in 1940. It is owned by the members
it serves in Grimes, Montgomery, Walker, Madison, Brazos and
Waller counties (Texas). The Cooperative maintains approximately
2,728 miles of energized line and 32 miles of underground line with
service to more than 17,000 meters.

Dallas-based uniView Technologies is the nation's only IT consultant
that offers the expertise and innovative tools necessary to create
fully customized interactive and e-commerce solutions. Building on a
foundation rooted in convergence technology and a deep
understanding of business operations and the end user, uniView
merges proprietary and partner Internet access technologies with
existing applications to deliver the future of interactive networking
products and services.

In 1997, uniView introduced its first revolutionary set top box and,
today, its Advanced Systems Group (ASG) uses convergence devices
and integration expertise to design custom networks for clients in
multi-level marketing, utilities, banking, and telecommunications. In
addition to complete IT consulting, ASG also offers Web site
