SW: XYBR News: Xybernaut(R) Completes 10-City Road Show for En Pointe Sales Training
FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Xybernaut Corporation (Nasdaq: XYBR), the leader in wearable computing, has just completed the initial phase of a comprehensive sales, systems engineering, and customer support training schedule with its premier distribution partner in North America, En Pointe Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENPT). Designed to extend its world-class customer support and sales efforts, Xybernaut's training for the En Pointe headquarters team and regional sales offices will bring customers not only the national sales support of En Pointe's 24-hour, 7 days a week (24/7) help center, but also local support in each of its regional offices.
Commenting on the strength of this newly-trained extended sales team, Jay Yass, Xybernaut's Vice President of Sales, said, "We are extremely pleased at the enthusiasm and focus of the En Pointe partner's branch offices. En Pointe's sales team is extremely excited about the opportunity to sell the MA IV(TM) wearable computer to its large installed base of Fortune 500 companies and state and local government agencies. En Pointe's experience with leading-edge, high technology products serves them well in this new market place. Xybernaut and its products are viewed as strong market differentiators by En Pointe management."
Gene Tavianini, Xybernaut's En Pointe Sales Manager, echoed Mr. Yass' comments. "We trained more than 90 sales people at 12 branch offices, including Los Angeles (CA), Minneapolis, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Portland and New York. They have already identified significant customer accounts with which they have long-standing relationships that are ideal environments for the Mobile Assistant. Our early joint sales calls are already yielding closed sales and high interest among their large existing and new customers. We also trained personnel at First Source, En Pointe's wholly owned subsidiary, specializing in e-commerce and telemarketing sales."
Commenting on Xybernaut and its training program, Michael Lopez, En Pointe's Government Account Executive noted: "I truly believe that Xybernaut has created a product line that surpasses anything in the industry and it will provide En Pointe with the technology to lead us into the 21st Century." William Ahern, En Pointe's Minneapolis Branch Manager went on to added: "We are all very enthusiastic about this product offering. The training was both comprehensive and well designed."
