"It is a miracle that our society remains
organized, so dependent as it is on mutual cooperation to stave off lawlessness. It takes little to disrupt
permanently this fragile system."
An extraordinary observation Peter....Mutual cooperation is the key phrase..so getting back to how this discussion started ..how do we help get purchasing power into the hands of everyone in more equitable shares? How do we break the pattern of the rolling deflationary pall that is moving like a jumping Jack about the globe?

Peter;

<<While it is lovely that we discuss in depth, remember that you have to know the author to understand the book. We authors all are of the privileged, successful civilization which is now the dominant one. This colors our thinking about achievability tremendously.>>

Yes it certainly does and it was an appropriate moment to remind us of that. But I see some humility at work here in the attempt to understand our subject better. Nothing wrong with that. <G> Many thanks for a sensible and sensitive post.

One thing, I did not follow your closing sentence:

<<I kind of miss 'Rational'. What was his name then?>>

When you get a chance please clue me in.
Best,
Stitch
