The cool thing is that other companies are also designing their own Merced chipsets as well. I hear that Siemens in Germany is designing a 460GX-derivative chipset which will feature up to 64 MB of motherboard SRAM cache, which will serve as yet another layer of cache on top of Merced's own L0, L1, and L2 caches.
