DBCC, First Albany>UPDATE2 "...undervalued..RiddellSports.com..."

News Story

DBCC - NASDAQ

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Data Broadcasting Corp. (DBCC) shares jumped as much as 11% Thursday following a 4% rise the day before in moves one analyst said demonstrate investor approval for the company, which continues to help other companies develop successful Web sites.

"Investors are starting to realize how undervalued Data Broadcasting is," said First Albany Corp. analyst Joel Krasner, who highlighted the company's recent Internet joint venture with Riddell Sports Inc. (RDL).

"If this new project works out, Riddellsports.com could become a public company like Marketwatch.com," Krasner said. "Data Broadcasting has the experience, knowledge and infrastructure to put together the Internet site, service it and do a lot of the back-office work that is very important for the success of any site."

Data Broadcasting Corp. (DBCC) and CBS Corp. (CBS) are partners in
MarketWatch.com Inc. (MKTW), an online business news service.
