Burt, I agree with you. When you attack a large monopoly you invite retaliation. If Intel had ignored AMD we would see Intel making $10B per quarter and AMD making $2B and growing. It is a Jerry rigged attack. Since time is fleeting in the smi business jerry probably felt he had to do this to gain share and he correctly judged that the majors would all slowly come on board and give him share because they liked the falling prices the war generated. We all know..no war= higher prices.
