Having spent my entire life on saltwater, mostly in Alaska, and knowing how nasty saltwater can get. I was amazed at how the swells on "big ponds" come up! I spent last fall running around on big freshwater lakes looking for moose. Watching water go from flat to unnavigable in minutes was impressive!-g-..... reading about that Edmond Fitzgerald story attests to that!
