All of these growth projections are based on expected ATM sales growth, but analysts at yesterday's Robertson Stephens Technology Conference were wary of such projections. Here's what analyst Paul Johnson had to say, "an acceleration in decline of pricing for ATM switches and the potential for increased competition within the market for ATM products" would put a damper on better earnings. This comment was made about FORE, but as it pertains to ATM, it is applicable to NN as well.

I haven't heard many people discussing this very important matter -- declining prices. How do you maintain your margins and grow earnings by 50% in that sort of environment?
