Having just spent about an hour of my time catching up on a week's worth of Asian thread posts, I wanted to congratulate everyone for participating in the finest thread on SI. I would love to buy everyone here your favorite drink one day. I am sure it would be an interesting mix! I took a moment from reading to call my wife and ask if she was Y2K compliant. She responded that a few more remarks like that and she might never be compliant again. <badda bing>

"It is a miracle that our society remains
organized, so dependent as it is on mutual cooperation to stave off lawlessness. It takes little to disrupt
permanently this fragile system."

"how do we help get purchasing power into the hands of everyone in more equitable shares?
How do we break the pattern of the rolling
deflationary pall that is moving like a jumping Jack about the globe?

We were waiting for you to tell us."

........MORE MUTUAL AID...and with a bias towards renewable energy and other environmentally responsible technologies towards building more long term sustainable economies....how you do that so its is not corrupted and broadens the participation in a more equitable way is another question?
