Yes, but he also said that their is still NOL and that will be used. I am very confused about what conference call you listened to that said the bottom line growth rate was going to decrease????

Be careful posting comments like that without having a good understanding of accounting and what was said.

Farrell made no such prognostications. The analysts are making them. Farrell is being asked about his comfort level with those. He said something like "People have been projecting 20% growth rates for us and out competitors in 99 and I see no reason why we can't grow at least at those rates."

<< ~$1.75. The 20% increase for next year would then be from that base. Hmm. We reduce 1998 earnings so we can come up with a 20% growth rate. Hey, that's pretty good. >>

Come on. Farrell simply reminded the audience that what matters is growth of operating earnings per share. This is reasonable and absolutely standard.
