The Sony Plant is a big POSITIVE for Exabyte. Regarding your holding, Exabyte's Mammoth II drive is due to be released around July 1st 1999, and should be the fastest drive available at a much lower price than the DLT alternative. By then with all of the additional supply Media (tape) shortages should be a problem of the past. The company still seems to be phasing out the old products in their product line, which seems to be making things difficult at the moment. The revenues of their Mammoth I drive increased from $16.8 million in Q3 to $21.5 million in Q4 1998. Additionally Sales of Mammoth AME media increased from; 128K units in Q1 98 to 173K units in Q2 98 to 240K units in Q3 98 to 280K units in Q4 98 and are estimated to reach 350K in Q1 of 1999, so there are some growth areas in Exabyte, in the new product areas. We should begin to se them kick in in the 2nd half

A positive post on the Yahoo thread by ex-employee. Also, looked like a big trade or at least 60,000 volume first thing this morning. Due to price higher a bit I assume a buy. And as long as I have held shares in this company I couldn't resist yesterday's price below $5. I figure a move to around $6 not too long off. sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong, but at 4 9/16??? MJS
