I fish the reefs of the central Calif Coast and in deep water there are myriad small rock piles at 200 to 300 ft that may be 50 ft high and only a 100 ft in length (all estimates). With regular GPS you typically only get 100 to 200 ft accuracy. DGPS can get you down to 10 FT. of accuracy!! SOOOO, I spend less time looking and more time fishing!! Also with DGPS if your radar goes kput and you have a course set up with several waypoints, a good boat skipper can navigate in heavy fog and poor visibility. JWMS
