The number of people who thought that he should either be removed, resign, or be censured was about 2/3rds, even after he had been impeached and it was widely assumed that the Senate would not convict. This says to me that although they may have differed on the appropriate form of punishment, most Americans think that Clinton did things that were wrong. Additionally, the poll showed that more people blamed him for the mess than blamed the Republicans. I don't think I misunderstood the message of the poll....
