Here's a short blurb from CBS Marketwatch from the RS Tech conference:

3Dfx (TDFX) Chief Executive Greg Ballard said the company will launch
its new Voodoo3 product at the end of this quarter or the beginning of
the next. The company, which makes high-performance 3D graphic chips
and software, said Voodoo3 will sell for between $129 and $249. Retail
orders for the product are at least on schedule and could be "a little ahead
of plan," he said. In addition, the company said its merger with STB will
probably be completed at the beginning of April. Intel, while a competitor
in the low-end graphics chip market, will not compete in the high-end
market, Ballard said.

Much more on other companies at CBS Marketwatch.

I found the Q2 launch of the V3 to be strange.
