Hey, you should see my executions. They show many executions actually occurring seconds BEFORE the order time.

Who says time travel isn't possible?

i've noticed that more n more of my trades are taking almost but not quite the full 1 minute to trade - so they get their commission

but i've also noticed that my sells where i specify a limit sell price well below current bid don't necessarily execute at the current bid but closer to the limit price

hmm - you know i was just thinking - if some brokerage got to being greedy they could put their coding effort into building a smarter execution system to put more money in the brokerage's pockets rather than its customer's pockets

hypothetically it seems that a broker could theoretically dump my shares at or near the bid then delay my order report while hoping (via smart momentum detection algorithms) for the stock price to drop further at which time they report a fill at the lowest price possible within my limit specification - the broker would get to pocket the difference - nice way to make some extra $$s

just call me a highly paranoid speculative theoretist - but market orders definitely and too low a limit sell (or too high a limit buy price for that matter) are just pleas for a customer to be raped !
