I have little doubt that THQ can replace those revenues in 2000. In fact, 1999 wrestling income (WCW and WWF) may even approach 1998 wrestling income. I think that THQ could earn up to $1.50 per share in 2000 from the JAKK J.V. Let's look at the likely product offerings:

Q4 1999
WWF GBC
WWF N64

Q1 2000
WWF GBC (reorders)
WWF N64 (reorders)
WWF PSX
WWF PC

Q2 2000
WWF PSX (reorders)
WWF PC (reorders)
WWF DC

Q3 2000
WWF DC (reorders)

Q4 2000
WWF GBC Sequel
WWF N64 Sequel
WWF PS2 (Playstation 2)

Summary:

1998
WCW vs. NWO 64 (reorders)
WCW vs. World PSX (reorders)
WCW Nitro PSX
WCW Nitro PC
WCW/NWO Revenge 64

1999
WCW/NWO Revenge (reorders)
WCW Thunder PSX
WCW Nitro 64
WWF GBC
WWF N64

2000
WWF GBC (reorders)
WWF N64 (reorders)
WWF PSX
WWF PC
WWF DC
WWF PS2
WWF Sequel GBC
WWF Sequel N64

Of course, I'm assuming that THQ/JAKK is going to release a WWF game for PSX, PC, DC and PS2. That may not happen. But I assume that it will happen, as long as DC launches well. And I'm assuming that each year there will be a sequel (history supports this assumption). I'm also assuming that the WWF titles will each sell as well as the WCW titles have sold. If THQ makes all the games really good, that's a reasonable assumption, considering Revenge has been the only great WCW title released by THQ.

I think that the J.V. will have lower operating expenses than THQ has, so the operating margin should be higher than for THQ. That's how I think WWF can perform in 2000. Right now, I'll hazard an educated guess that THQ will earn more than $4.00 in FY2000. I'm baffled by the street's reaction today.
