Hi Folks! Quick update and commentitos from the venerable Marum company president, Rick Boulay:

Hello Jesse:

Re: Your two questions here are some thoughts. If you post this make sure you attribute it to me.

1. When do we start drilling? Very, very soon. As at 6pm Thursday the drill was either set up on the first target or within 2 hours of setting up. Its up to the project manager but I'd say within 24 hours.

2. Re: the SI thread suggestion that the MEO/ALR news is encouraging that Marum might find something...... we don't see any technical similarities or any connection between our Chinchaga projects and the MEO/ALR project. We looked at the property when it was the Conex property, before ALR picked it up, well over a year ago.

There are no similarities with our project, at least any that I can detect. They appear to be tectonically, structurally and geologically different. There are some good looking magnetic anomalies on the MEO/ALR property and they certainly should be investigated.

I'm happy that MEO made the deal since Pat Power will move to explore it quickly. I understand that Kit Campbell, their very talented geophysicist consultant has reworked the data. I assume that a number of good targets have been defined and that they will be drilled in the near future.

At the time, we elected not to proceed because we had a lot of similar anomalies in the Chinchaga in areas of very low overburden and in areas with secondary sedimentation potential. We still think highly of the MEO/ALR property and its proximity to the Ashton core block makes it an excellent exploration play. It appears to be a smart move on MEO's part and a good deal for ALR.... win/win - but, we don't see a connection with our area.

Regards, Rick Boulay
