DJB, I have not had much luck with this type of short lately. common sense tells you it should fall over - but frequently they just limp along if there's nothing to push them over the edge.

again - I'd wait for the easy stuff

I am short MSTR.

Its market segment is subject to Y2K spending declines. MSFT is bundling decision support tools with its database for free. Huge valuation. Stock lockup is ending and Merril just did a secondary (2/10 I think). CEO seems like a fruitcake. Expectations are much to optimistic.

This should be a nice short as more shares hit the market, and they can no longer grow from such a small base. The combination of more competition/Y2K spending dislocation could give us a beautiful gap down one day. A good short to have in a correction.

Regards,

Archer
