My guess is, here in the Midwest the ladies aren't so provincial or parochial or catty or whatever the correct description is when it comes to admitting women into the JL. Sign up, pay the dues, go to the meetings and you're in here.

Me too. In high school, as a joke a friend and I signed up for the Girls Athletic Association. They took us. They needed two spotters for the gymnastics.
