RTev,
If the TradWig NewWig distinction in your post (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=8035799)
is meant to suggest that AOL is conceptually from the last generation of online services--call it the dialup bulletin board model--okay. The first Ford I owned was a flathead V8. Though Ford no longer makes flatheads, it's still in business. Businesses change, responding to customers. AOL has reached a place where its resources allow it to adjust to change rather than succumb to it. How many times has Microsoft reinvented itself to respond to the market, most recently when Gates turned it toward the Internet. AOL has long-term problems to consider (bandwidth, ongoing content considerations, whatever) but more resources now to deal with those problems than ever before.
Best,
--Steve
