I was feeling stupid about the EOM thing. I mistook ease of movement for that EOM thing you see all over yahoo and sometimes on SI as well.

Do you mean when he finds he has set to small of steps in MSWIN optimization. He just builds a new one. Optimization is used only to obtain a ball park estimate. It is never used to trade. It should be avoided in a single stock test environment like MSWIN.
