Convertible preferreds -- one of the most expensive ways to raise money known to mankind. There was a shelf registration late last year.

They better hope they don't have any cost overruns on those 9 projects.

Gary: The charts of FLC and PDE are almost carbon copies of each other. Since you are considering the final denoument of FLC soon at 5.25, where do you see PDE going; E-Wave style of course? What are the nature and characteristics of the first wave up? Got any upside targets for these two on the first wave up?

Thanks in advance.

Well, a good day for FLC. ...Hope it continues, as my ass is red from huge losses with this penny stock. Rode it down from 11 7/8. Now I'm hedging my bets; bought into SESI today. If ya can't drill'em, PLUG'EM. Any thoughts on this microcap. Selling at 1/2 of FLC makes it a good hedge IF the ARABS dont get it together.

Someone posted on this on another board about FLC....<2/25/99 6:45 pm... AGGRESSIVE BUY... R&B FALCON (FLC 6-1/16)... Posts Q4 profit of $0.09 per share vs. $0.54 loss, full '98 EPS of $0.61 vs. $0.18... Full '98 results include $118 mln. charge related to cancellation of 2 rig conversion projects... In '99, deepwater segment will benefit from delivery of new rigs, solid contract backlog... FLC will idle some shallow water rigs in attempt to lower overhead.. Industry outlook is neutral, with stock trading at only 3 times estimated '99 EBITDA/share of $2.00, believe that further downside is nil.
