Silicon Graphics boosts stock buyback plan

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 25 (Reuters) - Silicon Graphics Inc. said on Thursday its board has boosted the number of shares under its stock buyback plan by 5 million shares.

The company first announced the plan in October 1995 with an original target of up to 22.5 million shares, under which it has purchased roughly 22.1 million shares to date.

The plan, under which 5.4 million shares may now be bought, extends through June 30, 2000. Repurchased shares will be used for employee stock plans and other corporate purposes.

Silicon Graphics is a supplier of high-performance computers and computing systems

Hope it pops back up in the a.m. for you- if I wasn't so tied up on a few other stocks, I would've bot at the close (sometimes you get lucky not buying)
