Today your data...tommorow, your life...cnn.com We have all spent alot of time talking about the opportunity JAWZ has to cinch up the email market, but the one thing we keep missing is the fact that this encrpytion software as much much more broader and valuable implications.... If you took the time to look at the above link, you can see how easily sensitive data can be sent. The fact of the matter is, if that data was "encrpyted", it would have never been able to be distributed. Think about it...how do you really know how secure your company's info is?....how do you know Robbie in the cube next to you, or Mary in the office accross the hall can't access YOUR files? Whether its your personal information, company secrets etc, it is the euqivalent of rape if that information gets into the wrong hands, and more often than not, when it does, you are not going to know about it...These days, IT staffs already have the problem with being short staffed and tripping over each other in the wiring closets just trying to keep the company LAN up and running, not to mention adding and deleting accounts...etc etc This is where I believe and have always believed will be the end game for JAWZ to play in...the securing of the data. The market is huge and E V E R Y O N E....needs it. If someone breaks into your house or apartment, the hard drive may one day become one of the most sought after items...yeah, even your SI password is on it <grin>. And these days with computers getting more and more networked and more holes being found everyday than there are in a slice of swiss cheese, you dont even have to break into someone's house to download those contents if you really think about it... I highly doubt that most mutual fund companies and securities firms are encrpyting your account numbers, statements or balances, info etc,...not to mention HR databases like above.... Think about it ladies and gentleman...and then think about these bogus "portals" and internet "shams" like Geocities, Xoom.com, etc that add ZERO economic value to society...come on, you can't tell me a website that let's you say "Welcome to Bill's" is a billion dollar idea? It's so easily replicable anyway...the future of the internet depends on two things---BANDWITH and SECURITY...without those two things you can forget it. From the get go, I ahve said information is power and one of these days, the rest of the market will "discover" JAWZ and realize that this isn't a company worth less than 10 million... PD
