Take care of that stuff, Ish. Going blind isn't the worst part. You can lose the use of your pecker. You can lose the use of your feet and legs. I can't say which is worse. I got scared, even though my sugar has always been normal, my doctor convinced me that I had insulin resistance, which is the precursor to adult onset diabetes, so I am taking glucophage. He also prescribed rezulin, but it makes me nauseated, and I won't take it. It has an unfortunate tendency to cause liver damage, and kill people, so I am not missing much, IMHO. (This is the same guy who doles out the Celebrex like it was a narcotic.) I lost a lot of weight on the glucophage, I am not eating anything with sugar, however. Well, as I posted to Penni, I intend to eat a turtle sundae tomorrow. Now that I have read your post, maybe I will just pop another lobster on the barbecue.
