MLJ, Yes, I look for news items that appear after the open so as to catch it before any gap by the MM if possible. I got STRX on a upgrade and got 1/2 point, got AFCI on the bounce off of its bottom for 1/2 pt., and got FORE yesterday for 1 pt as I watch it and some others for those big dips in the market and then a nice rise. Yesterday, missed DBCC on its hookup with a brokerage companay and it had a nice 2-21/2 point to be made. News came out after open. NOVL was an upgrade before the open thus the MM gapped it up and it was hard to make any money. I also look for the disaster du jour for the bounce as it will always be overdone on the downside. AFCI was this play this week. I try to go in with a target of 1/2 pt at least and sometime I get more. Others are just trading stocks that i watch and when they drop in a down market they will bounce back real fast ie: OMPT, CIEN etc Hope this helps. You have the right equipment at your disposal.
