I agree- I have programmed an RPG (BORD 2.10, see www.comports.com/pottsware) in BASIC. I used PowerBasic 3.2, which is a very powerful version of BASIC, albeit complicated. I would recommend BASIC only for text-based games. For serious graphics RPG's I would recommend Assembler or C++.
