USA Networks is no Time Warner... but, i agree, it would depend on the premium paid. TWX is not an especially inflated stock, so we would probably see a fairly low premium paid (as compared to the the @HOME EXCITE deal).

However, dont forget that TWX is the only other half in the Broadband winners circle, with Road Runner. If Road Runner can grow like @HOME is expected too, this would be good in the long run for YHOO.

Having said that, TWX is forging certain cable agreements with T. This does not yet include @HOME. Could TWX avoid YHOO and further its relationship with T thus giving them a partnership with @HOME then EXCITE for a much lower cost? They would just have to watch out for the FEDS...

Just some rambling thoughts....
Jay

To All

A friend of mine told me today that CNBC mentioned some kind of program can be downloaded from the web such that the banner advertisements that the web pages display won't be displayed once the program has been downloaded and run.

If YHOO is dependent upon banner ads for revenue won't that hurt YHOO's revenue if the user were to run such a program and view YHOO's web page and the banner ads don't get displayed? The banner ad sponsors will find out and stop paying YHOO!!!

Can YHOO do or is YHOO doing something to alleviate the problem?

Is this really a problem ?
