DaiS,

Apparently Vivus sank a good chunk of money in their new HQ's which included a new laboratory. This was given up during the restructuring when they were able to find someone else to take up take over their lease and and sublease 1/4 of the original space which is minimal office space.

They have plenty of space in Lakewood for laboratory facilities if they ever feel it necessary to do their own development lab work. The Lakewood plant does have lab facilities but these are equipped for quality control of MUSE production and not research. I am sure they have the space to add a research lab if they want but right now there is little if any reason to spend money on such matters. Gene therapy is something that is being contracted out and Alibra is already in P3 clinical trials. A lab would only make sense if they want to tinker with some already known safe and effective generics for intraurethral delivery. After all that is the concept that the company was founded on ie utilize known drugs that have established safety profiles for IU delivery of ED.
