I use basic three box reversal point and figure charts. I use the thirty dow charts to figure out where the DJIA is going. If all thirty DOW stocks are in bearish chart patterns then the DJIA cannot go up. Conversely if all thirty DOW charts are bullish then the DOW must go up. Everyone says the DJIA will go to 10000 or 11500. I say which DOW stocks are going to make that happen? Currently it is up to BA MCD UK and UTX to make that happen. I doubt it.

Then again what the heck do I know?
