The gold large hedgers were very bullishly positioned in December
of '87, i believe. There is truly no infallible indicator.

Bill,

This 'Gold Leasing by Central Banks' has in essence removed all large quantities of gold from the markets, including future production.

I find that this has a relationship with what happened in 1933, when Roosevelt called in the gold and a year later raised its value to the dollar.

Regards,
Eric Parde
