Kleiner Perkins did not have to put up as much cash to get drugstore.com started.
The money came from the junk bond holders and then Kleiner Perkins will be able
to sell their shares at a profit too. This is so far from the original AMZN business
model that one would not even recognize it a year ago.

Now these are the people that can laugh all the way to the bank. I wish I were that smart... I wish I could have invested in these companies at a startup level.

change the biz model,
upheave the buying patterns,
of the entire world,
nuke all overhead,
change the guard,
old school is cool,
but outa here,
can't hang,
can't compete,
see ya
in the funny papers,
one day,
we will all mail order this way,
too bad for the strip shop
owners,
one day a kid may say to me,
what is a drugstore,
and what are all those old
vacant buildings....
