El: Thanks for that Business Week article. It relied mainly on the opinions of journalists and professors. I have to believe that the people actually doing the work and creating the wealth in the COMPAQ's of this world, are a little bit more ahead of the curve than these guys. Gateway is making such a splash with its free internet offering I think COMPAQ should jump in, too. 5ffer has said several times lately that CPQ will be moving into "appliances" - the article said that CPQ will be making set tops or web-boxes "next year" - I thought they were moving faster than that.
