You know, now that I have thought about it...
I am not mad anymore about the CD Now attention on CNBC.
NAVR was smart not to spend the 2 million dollars CDNow did.
Net Radio brings us all types of music that we can hear and instantly order it....a person might come across an obscure piece of music, like it, and have the urge to order it right then...
Top 40 music, kids actually ENJOY the social experience of going to Best Buy and buying and browsing in person, maybe going out with friends to hang out... Top 40 CDs are everywhere, in every WalMart, Target...on sale here and there...
But I think many of the hits CDNow got were just curious youngsters or just plain curious people wanting to see the site.
How many people bought? Can you listen to the music there?

Enough yapping...
Go NAVR!

I don't ever recall a company spending that kind of money for advertising on a one event venture and admitting it was a mistake. I would be pretty upset if NAVR blew 2 mil on the grammys. This is NAVR we're talking about, not Budweiser!
