Backman, This looks familiar. Kind of like the construction of TRIN as described by Dr. Alexander Elder in "Trading for a Living". Is it a fairly good predictor? I subscribe to TradeHard.com and they have some directional indicators to predict general market directional bias, but other than that, I'm not really benefiting much from their subscription so if I could get a few of my own indicators going (like your TRIN, an RSI on the indexes, the S&P futures (assuming I can get fair value somewhere) I could drop the subscription which is more or less a website full of ads for the products and systems of the principals. "tomorrow looks upward, maybe 75+ pts" I don't think you are interpreting the data the same way I do. the short term selling is far from satisfied. The weakness in the bond market will continue to propel the market down, and the lack of fund infusion for the last 4 weeks is even more pressure. Although I do believe we are just in a correction and not a bear downturn, we are going to have to test the local low of the 1215 range before a rebound wil occur. ls
