What is ATM. I would like to know more about selling leap puts.
How far out of the money do you buy them, how long do you plan to hold them., What is the worst case situation? or risk?
What you mean by buying power? If you sell the puts dont you get the money? but have to maintain the cash in the account?
I appreciate you sharing the info
Thanks

HappyGirl,
The one problem with selling LEAP puts is that you have no control over exercise.. you can be put to at anytime.

That time could be during a really bad day in the market or could be a random occurrence.

A few months ago I created a bull put spread on CPQ using six month contracts and got assigned the very next day! My broker was happy, but I had to bring in my purchased puts to cover. A total waste.

Good Trading ..
