'ClickNet Software and IBM have reached a marketing and training deal on Y2K readiness assessment.

The deal is slated to be announced Tuesday at the IBM Business Partner Executive Conference.

Under the terms of the agreement, ClickNet, in San Jose, Calif., will work with the IBM Personal Systems Group and resellers on readiness assessment and remediation service, according to statements released by the companies.

ClickNet develops ClickNet Y2K, which includes an integrated suite for managing year 2000 compliance issues. It includes a database that tracks more than 12,000 application titles and is accessible over the Web. The solution also provides pre-defined compliance-management reports.

Late last year, IBM Global Services began endorsing the ClickNet product in some of its solutions.

IBM, in Armonk, N.Y., said the latest deal with ClickNet will be targeted to small- and mid-sized businesses.
