William, Note that those prices for 1997 in the prior message are NOT adjusted for the 2 for 1 stock split.

I understand, and agree with you. However, if you have been following my post, and the post of Gottfried, Lester E. and Tito you will note that AMAT appear to follow the absolute numbers. This is why Lester E. can state that, "all I know is that approximately every two years my shares and money doubles." Not a bad return on ones investment.

Following Lester E's advice and my data has been very benefitial for me so far.

Just my opinions.
