Fine piece of work over at the LA Times. Looks like the smell of dead daytrading wannabees is finally wafting up from behind the smokescreen. ;} Better late than never.

Gary, F.D.,

Gary, interesting points regarding the full service retail brokers. From what I had read about arbitration, I thought the broker won all ties. Certainly they ought to be concerned about online trading. I am always amazed when the full-service broker cold calls me, quotes me a $300 commission for a very slow execution of a trade I can perform instantly for $10. Slowly they ask if I trade on the net, but they still think access to their research department justifies their commission structure.

F.D., I suspect you are right about the ETA: they likely are the closest match to what I was looking for. And in the current situation I don't see a large divergence of interest. I agree that everything except their organizational bias against the independent reads very well.

Regards,
pae

Whomever are the traders for the egrp options I wish they would read this.IMO*** First of all, I'm glad there's an investigation going on. Secondly, you guys have turned into pure thieves. Some of the other options I've been following are sneaky but the egrp options are ridiculous.

I remember the press release you guys put out on Option Focus when the call volumes were very high(just before the big rally), saying that these traders were foolish gamblers.

I know this is nothing new but I had to vent. What I have witnessed today from an in the money put (with the stock down almost 15 points and next months expiration) should put these guys in jail.

p.s. I wish my order entry window had a comments window to send the traders messages.
