Don and all. Since the thread is becoming populated with people that seem to hate everything, I started a thread for them all to go to, maybe they will get lost there. I'll play along keep em busy and all. Just joking now.

Good Morning Don:

(Don't even ask me why I am up at 4:20 am).

I need an opinion. I holding 60 contracts for the May 120, which I purchased when dell was in tripple digits (I do look fondly back at those days in January). Any advice what to do with them (besides praying <g>).

Advice from all would be appreciated.

Have a good morning everyone.

David

rollong out puts....dell

don...don't know why the strategy is perceived as difficult or risky...the 208k position i set is a long term probably till expiration one...try to do this once a year during manic times...10/28/97(did cpq 99 40's @14.25), 10/8/98(dell 01 50's@14), and i believe over the last two weeks(dell 01 120 @52).....i do in and out of money, close or far expiration...don't use exotic formulas, just what feels good...and only with stocks i want to own..and have the capacity to accept...monthly if the spirit moves me and the volatilty presents itself i set positions..jan..did well with dell 75puts, feb won 3 of 4 positions still a net gain..won sap feb 30,dell feb 75,intc feb 150(covered call)lost intc feb 140...i try to remain simplistic and consider a win if i can buy back or roll at less than my cost...even if below the strike...but not below strike less premium...many may say i'm doing something wrong...making the cboe traders rich, creating synthetic longs, shorts(perhaps polyester versus cotton?)etc...all i care about is at the end of the day i have more than i started with....and how and why...finite analysis not necessary ...perhaps too simple...dell,cpq,look good and emc maybe for this month...good luck!
