Morning gang,

If I might add my two cents to Scott's advice to play gaps in this trendless market...

1 cent...don't put to many stocks on your screen. If you can only watch two, have two. If you able to track 8 have eight. You can start with more, but pare it down to a number you can deal with in the first few minutes.

2 cents...don't let a stock ware you down. Yesterday, for instance, I had a number of flat trades in GTW, until I finally said enough. Big mistake. If I had taken just one more shot at that buy trigger, It went straight up two points. Often, I'll have a flat or losing trade in a stock, quit watching it, and then it takes off.

Incidently, these are not rules that I stick to that make me tons of money. There rules that I consistently ignore that keep me from making tons of money. Playing gaps can be boring, like counting cards at the blackjack table...there's a constant desire to run over to the crap table and throw the dice.

Jay
