Chris, I agree Intel is w world class organization and will survive the FTC and DOJ. It will, however, be foirced to modify it's behaviour to some additional degree(beyond what has already been forced upon it). The commentary in the register is forward looking, like that statement on Intel's PR site, and may or may not come to pass. From what I read the register feels that Intel may well take a softer tone as the FTC can get far harder than Intel and Intel has seen what has happened to Microsoft when MSFT was intransigent anbd careless with e-mails. Intel can survive and give AMD some living room, and they will. Bill
