I have been Long Fore for a while and agree obviously that they are not aggressively looking to be bought out like some others...

I do believe they have a kick ass ATM product but switching hats to look at this strategically and what mgmt's fiduciary duties are:

-offers from other companies that are valued at a premium must be considered. If a "Siemens" made an offer , don't know what at this point would be considered an extreme offer, they have to strongly consider this or face shareholder revolt!

-other companies with lesser products have shown to better investments. This points to a poorly executed strategy where the finger points to management

If you look at a company like Ciena who had a FOR SALE sign on them, their stock skyrocketed, got beat down, and now is a darling again. Jach can chime in on this one but FORE has a superior arsenal than Ciena.

Just my 3 cents
