I live in Michigan and I pay 8.9 cents/min for interstate calls and 8.5 cents/min on intrastate calls. No monthly fee. Calls charged at 6 second increments. 24/7.

I've also have an 800 number for no additional charge. When I call home from out of state I pay the 8.9 and when I call home from inside the state, I pay 8.5.

My service is with Unidial and they use Worldcom/WilTel lines.

So far, I've been happy with my service... but there are even better rates out there now. I'll be checking them out soon. Check out phone-bill-busters.com for more details. No, I have no connection to this outfit... but everything's been on the up-and-up so far...

Let me know of any better phone deal that you might find....

If you're spending about $35 a month in long distance only, and you're willing to pay a separate bill to Qwest, I can offer you Q.biz which with a 1 year contract gives you 7.9 cents per minute Interstate and varies on the Intrastate rates. You can have several lines on a single bill. You guarantee $25 a month in total long distance but their are no monthly fees.

Something else that saves money, it bills by the second after the first 30 second instead of the one minute to three minute minimums that are part of many plans. You can also have a toll-free (800) number at no charge with the same billing characteristics.

If it sound like it works for you, or anyone else that sees this, e-mail me and I'll send you an application. Use GMohilner@hotmail.com for my e-mail address.

Qwest has many plans, I think this is a great one for people with a moderate amount of calls.
