I think they really are in a bind. NOW has issued a statement saying that they supported Broaddrick, and told the WH not to smear her. I think Joe Lockart confirmed they were not going to do that. However it is almost certain that they will have operatives working on weakening her credibility. None of their options is attractive, including waiting. They have used most of the goodwill and credibility capital they had. At this point, I'm just curious to see what rabit they will try to pull out of their hat. If they pull the wrong one, the consequences could be disastrous, so I think they will just wait. I can't believe this whole fiasco has gone that far. This is so incredibly pitiful to watch.
