Very important certifications,
UL : Underwriters' Laboratories
ULC : Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada
NPFA : National Fire Protection Association

If not certified by these organizations, forget going to market with the kind of product they have.

And of course the final products will be certified as such with the technology they are acquiring.

There are other certifications they can recieve in Europe, but these are known in the industry worldwide, and perhaps the most important.

UL is Underwriters Laboratory, an independent testing company, whose certification shows that it meets some standards.

ULC I'm not sure.

NFPA is National Fire Protection Association, which I think sets standards, ie. 30 minutes of 1000f before burn through.
